How to open an IoT Chapter?

• Step 1
  

  Initially register 20 persons or more as IoT member by filling up the prescribed application form and deposit the requisite fee.

• Step 2
  

  On receiving the above, IoT office will send you the following:

  • a. Individual Membership ID and Certificates
  • b. Chapter Formation guidelines and Instructions to Chapters
  • c. IoT Society of India Byelaws and Constitution
• Step 3
  

  On receipt of the above, convene a meeting of the IoT members to elect thefollowing members and send the list to IoT Governing Council.

  • Chairman
  • Vice Chairman cum Chairman-elect
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Management Committee Members (Max 5)
• Step 4
  

  The Governing Council will open the Chapter account and authorize 3 members viz. Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer to operate the account

• Step 5
  

  Chapter share will be calculated at IoT Headquarters and released only subject to submission of report of Chapter activities.

• Step 6
  

  Arrange the inauguration of the Chapter in a befitting function and start conducting the following activities:

  • Lecture by Guest Faculty/Industry professionals/local faculty, computer awareness programmes etc.
  • Visits to industries, exhibitions, other institutions, R&D organizations for members.
  • Quiz programmes, competitions.
  • Conference, workshops, technical sessions.
  • Industry-Institute Interaction.
  • Women empowerment and Development programmes.
  • School students IoT awareness programmes.
  • Other activities as decided by the chapter.
